Cardinal Questions.

I have added 15 Cardinals to my tank. I decided to get them when they are small (All about 1cm). I have cut up a pair of tights that I "borrowed" from my other half and put them over the inlet pipe to the filter as the fish are small enough to get sucked in.

How long will it take them to grow to full size?

How old are 1cm fish likely to be?

And is putting tights over the pipe the best way to stop the fish being sucked down to the filter? I can already see a drop in the flow from the filter as "crap" starts to stick to the tights reducing the flow.

they'll take a while. Feed well and it'll be a good month before they start.

What about putting something over the filer inlet. Are tights still the best idea
