Hello, I started out constructing a D-I-Y CO2 reactor some time ago, it's been working fine but I am still looking for a decent diffuser/atomiser for the CO2 bubbles being produced. I get away using a fine sand stone however I know that I will achieve better results if I can produce finer bubbles using a decent diffuser.

What I am looking for particularly is a Rhinox CO2 diffuser . So far I have only seen these advertised by sellers online from Hong Kong, Malaysia and the USA but not in the UK. I am sceptical about purchasing from outside the UK - does anyone have any idea where I can get these from? I am very much interested in this brand/model because of the way it is designed and particularly the material it is made of - glass.

My LFS can't recommend one either and the best match I have come across to what I really want was a TMC AquaGro Compact CO2 Diffuser which I found on the Charterhouse Aquatics website, but it is made of plastic and not very 'appealing' to the eye

Any advice would be welcomed, perhaps you have bought one from an international trader without any incident. I have searched high and low and haven't found anything particularly useful online

I bought one from an internetional seller a few weeks ago :

Obviously I had to wait a little bit longer for delivery but it arrived with no problems at all. Unfortunately I had a real problem getting the airline tubing to stay on it after a few days and last Tuesday I actually broke it by pushing the tubing on too hard, I`ve had to go back to using the crappy JBL diffuser until I can sort something else out
It worked great when the tubing did stay on though. :good:

I use the Rhinox 1000 on my little 8g. Love it. Got it cheap on eBay. You do have to be careful with the tubing. Good bubbles.

Even works great for yeast CO2, but I'm using the smaller diffusor.

Thanks y'all.
I was recommended this website they sell a variety of diffusers. I'll be buying one after I post this...

Thanks for the advice on the delicateness on the glass stem, you can avoid the rubber tube slipping off the glass stem by wiping it down with alcohol applied to a clean cotton cloth and allowing it to dry thoroughly before you slip on the tube  . If you haven't got alcohol just wipe down with the clean cotton cloth...just try to keep it free from grease.

Hmm just thinking about it, I might as well get two in case I break the stem
