Carbon Removed Then Reintroduced.

Hi peeps, can some one tell me for sure, carbon removed then reintroduced is this safe only had started meds in 55 gal so took carbon bags out of filter kept them in glass jar in tank water for 3 weeks would it be ok to reintroduce them again strait into filter basket or will i have to buy new ones, only had them in the filter from new for 2 months b4, dont want to do any harm now all things looking better after flukes gone

I take it you mean activated carbon.

Activated Carbon is only effective for about a week or so. After that the carbon will be 'full' with all the impurities taken from the water. If you plan to use carbon in your tank you will need to change it out with your weekly maintenence.

So to answer your question the carbon is now inactive and you will need to purchase some new to remove the meds
