I noticed a small tear in my carbon bag last time I cleaned out my filter but thought it was no big deal (very small tear).
Just now the power went out in my house and came back on a couple minutes later. When the filter turned back on, the carbon bag must have torn a lot more, because the carbon stuff came out and is now all over my tank. It's only a 10gallon tank, and I use sand, so it's just laying on the sand.
I am assuming it is OK for the fish, but I could be wrong.
Please let me know asap if I should worry about clearning the carbon out. If it's not a big deal I'd just leave it there, the color doesn't bother me mixed in with the sand.
