My tank's a non-standard size, and I was wondering what the capacity was.
In inches, its measurements:

36 across
15 high
12 deep

What is this tank, preferably in UK gallons? And what's the formula for calculating tank size?

your tank holds 23.5 UK gallons or 106 litres.

you cat work it out un UK gallons by multiplying te 3 dimentions in inches and then divide by 276. to get this in litres, sinply times 4.55

yes, you may be a little over stocked but test your water, if everything is fine, then I don't see the need to take any out. just don't add any more. when you say silver shark tetras, if you mean silver sharks, these can get 12"+ so they will have to be removed sooner or later. just keep an eye on your water quality.
