Cant find pals for my danio

I have 5 danios. They all school together but they are all different kinds. 2 are regular zebras, 2 are longfin blue and 1 is a longfin yellow zebra danio.

I love the yellow one and I want about 10 for my 55. The problem is I cant find them anywhere. I cant even find a picture with google. I got this one by accident in the first place ... I thought I was getting 3 blues and I get them home and theres this yellow one in there. He came from Petsmart and I keep checking back but they only have normal zebras and longfin zebras with black and yellow stripes. This one has yellow and red stripes. I've also seen the yellow shortfin but not the longfin anywhere.

what is this rare or something ?

No they aren't rare. Can you ask a pet shop to get them in for you?

I asked the one LFS and the jerk that owns it was HEINOUSLY RUDE... not only will he not order ... he wouldnt even call in the event that he does get them. Not that I wouldnt love to go to the fish store twice a week... this guy just creeps me out so I go there only when I have to. Petsmart on the other hand, has no control of their inventory so I just have to wait.

I've looked to order them online but everyone has either yellow longfin, not zebra or yellow zebra short fins.

well done for even getting the whole fish in frame

that picture looks like a golden lf zebra.
here in the UK I've only seen them is a couple of places,
most lfs's have the regular golden ZD.

I have seen online plenty of places that will ship them to you, but you need to order in 500's or more

have you tried yellow pages?

500 I think I'd be a bit overstocked

I'm sort of limited in fish stores around here. There are 2 LPS and the one afore mentioned LFS. I found one more in the yellow pages but it was out of business when I got there. My next step is to try the state capitol, which is an hour trip.

I just havent ever seen these anywhere else except for petsmart that one time. I keep hoping they'll just so happen to get them back in.

The alernate name is good too... didn't know they were called that.

The problem with South Carolina is that everyone seems to be into marine so the LFSs will have these great marine setups and then like some tetras and livebearers.

Has anyone ever ordered fish online ?? I have not ... sounds a bit tricky ...

yeah ... I look at that site all the time but I havent ordered anything from it. Aquabid is back up by the way also. I will wait until its a bit warmer anyway for safe shiping.

No one has just what I'm looking for ... maybe I should forget it.

Hey ... maybe I'll just drive down to the local blackwater swamp and catch me some herterandria formosa (called mosquito fish locally) and forget the danios
