Candy-Striped Pleco

I brought home a candy-striped pleco today on an impulse. The lady said they only grow to about three inches. Is this right? He's in a 20 gallon...hopefully she wasn't too far off.

Yes, I believe they stay about 3-5 inches,good luck with him

A well cared for one can get up to 5 inches. Theyre awesome looking plecos too. If I didnt have my gold nuggets those would definatly be on my stocking list.

Whoa!

Now that is an AMAZING fish! Never knew plecs came in so many colours till i found this webby. Here in malaysia, we have the common plec, albino plec and hillstream loaches. Thats all. Wish they had these guys here.

they are really comical once acclimated to the tank too. have fun, I know I love mine!
