i was looking to get some zebra loachers but the pet store that has most fish is in perth i live in a small town my brother lives in perth now my mother went up to see him befor xmas when she was up there she stoped at the pet store on her way back she new one of the reason i wanted the loachers was cuz they eat snails they did not have zebra loachers in but mum saw some loachers that she thort looked just as cute so she asked if they eat snails and if they were ok to put in with gouramis most fish in my tank are gouramis the lady said they do and they go just fine with most fish (thats all the info feel free to add what ever you want)

As far as i know clown loaches are unsexxable!
Oh and your post would be easier to read if you used punctuation :p

When the loaches get to about 4 to 5 inches, you will be able to see if they are male of female by looking at their tail fins. If the fins go more inwards then it's a female, if they go outwards then it's a male. ( I might have them the other way around :shifty: )

hehehe so with a baby clown loach u say ITS A BOY ...no wait or is it a girl scrachers head

a 4 and half foot long tank most other fish are gouramis and cory and 3 yellow fin eel tails the tank hold 43 gallons and im planing on geting a 100 gallon tank this year

Clown loaches easily get to be 12" and I have seen them over 2ft long, so understand that before you commit to keeping the loaches for life. When they grow up they will require a very large tank. I think a 100 gal would probably be fine for 3, but if they get 2ft long then even that would be insufficient.

The 2ft long ones I saw were in about a 10,000 gal show-tank at a newly opened giant pet store.

??? they can get 2ft long are u shore? i mean i had herd they can get big but i did not think they got that big  ...... i no they like and need big tanks as welll that was one of the resons im geting a bigger tank

Don't Worry Fizban, I am quite sure that clown loaches are extremely slow growers, maybe an inch or less a year depending on age. Alot of people say 8-9 inch is a very good size for a clown loach so to have some 2 foot I would say they must have to be a different type of clown loach or maybe a Hybrid  Like a Liger where the growth inhibiting gene is not apparent.
