Can you put glass ornaments in your tank?

I have a beautiful glass fish that my kids gave me to put in our tank but I was afraid that it was not safe.. Was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is or not.. Its all glass with different colors in it and heavy like a paper weight... Just wondering........ Thanks

I don't see a problem unless the coloured bits of glass are made by metal addatives in the process of making it.
