If you want to keep your yellow shrimp pure than do NOT mix them with the normal red cherrys, the two colour morphs will interbreed happily and eventually you wont have a pure of either colour. A lot of time and effort goes into developing and stabalising a new colour variation, and they are not always easy to establish. If possible I would keep one tank of red, one tank of yellow and if you had the room and time a tank where you mix the yellow and the red just so you can see first hand the colours that mixing will bring about. But I would still want to keep a couple of pure lines as well, especially when yellow cherry cherry shrimp are being sold in Australia for $75 each
