Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me if it is possible to keep a torch coral with other soft corals?

I have a three foot 65 galon tank.

I was thinking of having one in the centre of a largish piece of live rock away from the other corals.

Thanks for any advice.

Yes it is possible - some people recomend putting in carbon before the LPS.

What softies do you currently have?

Stefday can I suggest you start you start either one thread or a journal. You seem to have so many questions at the moment it would really help the people answering them if they were all together.

I answered a thread of yours this morning about mixing soft and hard corals. Torch is a hard coral and you have softies. We did say earlier that you could and I did briefly let you know which corals were involved with Allelopathy.

Thank you very much everyone. I do very much appreciate all of the information. I am new to marine keeping and have probably become a little addicted to it and get carried away with questions!

I wasn`t sure if torches were classed as a hard or soft coral, as at present I am a little unsure about the differences.

:good: yep a journel sounds good, was just about to say the same thing

How do you keep a journal?

You just make a topic as you have been doing but do it in "Marine Aquarium Journals" and ask your questions on it.
There people will take lots of notice to see your tank evolve and everytime you have a new question write it on there and people will get back to you on that. Just saves spamming up all the other forums etc. And then you have it all in once place so its much less hassle. You can just name it "Stefdays Marine Journal" or what ever you want matey.

YF got it in a nutshell except for one thing.

Photo's, photo's and more photo's.

Yip we love them. It also helps us with your system too, we can help with everything in one place in a journal, can guide you through swapping your tanks / setting up (sorry cannot remember if your upgrading) if you need it.

Then you will get nice answers that will flow on from each other and you can look back on and see all your hard work.

But don't forget piccies :good:

excellent, another new journel - get your camera snapping please :good:
