You have to do a few things:
Keep their Water PERFECT.
The right PH, No Nitrite and Ammonia, the right hardness etc
do more frequent water changes, and when adding water back, make sure it is cold as this simulates rain season in the amazon, when the fish tend to breed the most
Condition them:
Feed them lots of greens like cucumber etc and bloodworms
Keep them safe:
By that i mean, dont check on them every 5 minutes when you think theyre going to breed, add lots of caves and pipes and plants for cover.
When feeding the fry, flakes arnt the best.
for the first three days they will feed off their egg yolk sacks and then after that you can give them sliced peices of cucumber like you do with the parents
i always like to have more then one filter in my tanks,
and if your water isn't "clear" with one filter, you could add another one, and keep up with your water changes and not feed TOO much,(fish don't need food EVERY day)
I feed my community fish approx once, every other day - so around 5 times a week on average.
Sounds like you're feeding too much and your fish will benefit from reduced feeding
