Can You Identify This Fish Please

A friend of mine was closing up his tank because he will be starting university in september. He offered me a convict and another fish which he does not know what it is. I accepted the offer because I know I am able to care for them well. The only thing is, I am not sure what fish this is. If anyone can help, it would be great. Many thanks

Is that the scientific name for a flowerhorn then? After googling, the pictures do look similar to a flowerhorn, but I am not sure because the nickname is firehead.

Flowerhorns do not have a scientific name due to them being a hybridization of various species of cichlid.

agreed that face says severum to mne also. but in a wierd kinda way the body is reminding me of salvini.

Definately not a severum, and I doubt a severum hybrid. More like a vieja sp. or vieja cross.
