yes I know these are horrible picture, I was sold the pleco under the name bullydog but obviously it is. It looks like a combination of a raphael and a armada (argentia).

The pleco is a dark dark brown with scattered white dots. It has long narrow pectoral fins. It's head looks like an arrow and is fairly spikey down it's sides and tail.

From what I can tell, it looks like an Upside Down Cat but it's still hard to make out any details.

curse them at the fish store. well it certainly is active. I did a bit of research and is this right they grow around 4 inchs. hmm... bulldog pleco my foot. if anyone has a link or more information on this fish I'd apperciate because of the distances of this fish store I might just end up keeping it.

try looking up[ synodontis angelicus] ,, the true angelicus catfish.

you say it is active , it may be an angelicus , it also looks alot like a spotted raphael [agamyxis pectinfrons.]

raphaels tend hide during the day , at least the one I had only came out at night .

lotsa luck

It's probably a "legitimate" name for those. There's a Butterfly Pleco that's a Hillstream Loach, and coldwater at that and numerous "sharks" that are neither sharks nor saltwater and there's the Emerald Cory which is not a Corydoras... I hate common names sometimes.

Well I've noticed that silver dollars seem to relax a bit more in a low lite aquarium so it's fairly dark as it with more natural lighting. That may be the reason he is "very" active.

Heh 99% of plecos aren't plecos at all, but other related species of the loricid family!

Yup that is it! Wonderful tiny little fish currently. It will be interesting to see what it is like when it's older and larger.

True but Pleco or Plec is easier on the typing and speaking than trying to find a way to say Loricid. :p
