I've got a quick question for you guys! In my 75 gallon I noticed last night that all over the glass there seems to be what looks like thousands of small hairs or something. The don't have a color and they kind of swing in the current. I tried using my algae magnets and it takes it off the glass then you can see it floating in the water and a few minutes later it attach's back to the glass. I tried taking a picture but can't really see it. If you guys really need a picture I'll try again.

My stats are fine
ph: 7.2
nitrate: 10
nitrite 0
ammonia 0

temp 76F

I just did my usual water change today and used the magnet again and when I was all done its right back on the glass again. Does anyone have any ideas what it is?

Thanks for the replies!!

Are they moving around? As in alive?

It's kind a hard to tell but I would say no. There all moving back and forth because of the current of the filters. But there all moving the same way so it makes be believe the current is making them move instead of them moving on there own. Like I said I can get them off but a few minutes later there right back.

What would you say they are if they are alive

I was thinking some sort of planaria or a hydra like organism.

I've got a video but can't figure out how to upload it. I tried doing in the video section but it just uploads for every and thats it

Sounds like planaria to me, cut back on feeding should help get rid of them, the fish will probably eat the rest.

I had something like that, and it did go away after a while, and after a few weekly wiping sessions.
It was almost like a sparse fur on the inside of the glass, and I did briefly entertain some (very) faint hope of the Amano-type algae shrimp (these potentally being freshwater breeders, and the female being almost perpetually egg-laden) having produced viable young, however unlikely this was in a community tank with 2 filters.
They weren't planaria, though, more like some odd sort of thread algae, although they may very well have been something else - it seems almost every time I add plants, something travels in with them.
