is it possible to cover a globe in a reflector with a clear blue sheet/celaphane to get a blue moonlight effect??
Because I'd love to get a different colour simply. Are there other ways to get a different colour/shading?

yeah I thought it would be a little dangerous I thought perhaps place it underneath the lighting fixture to weigh it down without it actually touching the globe would be safer...probably won't even do this I was merely curious

it can be done, you need to find a theatrical suppleiyr or contact LEE filters for a stockist list. first they are fire proof and second you can lay sheets on top of the tank itself. if you know of a photographic store, the may stock them too. it can look cool.

Most dollar stores have Blue LED's in cheap toys.

Or try this. Here in Canada/USA walmart sells a small childs plastic fish tank you fill with water. Its about 4x3x4 inches in size. It comes with tiny plastic fish that move in the current and a blue LED light.

I poped the light on my fish tank and lights up in moon colors very well. I also use them on my bubble tubes for a great effect, light reaches 4 feet down but fades and gets mirky the further it goes. Let me try a pic for you, but it probably will be crap due to darkness...yah its too dark for the camera, but a very cool moon lighted effect for the visual eye and not too bright.

Here is the top of the product, they are called tiny tanks.

They also have in our local fish store submersible led lights for colored effect.

I used a magic marker on a piece of glass to get differnt colors before (yup I know Ghetto  ). Then I found colored plastic tubes for "Fluro".

wha you need is colour filter gel. its not actualy a gel, its a translucent plastic sheeting that is used in TV and stage. They put them in frames infront of lights to ch ange their colour. They can withstand hundreds of degrees so wont catch fire. See if you can find them on the net somwhere....
