Yup. You need to look for the ovipositor, which is under the fish, just behind the ventrals. It looks like a small white dot.


MAM's right, usually males have longer fins, especially pet store bettas. However, there are short tail males (they're my fave), and recently we have been seeing more and more females with deep coloration and longer fins.
