Its best to wait until they are large enough to see the fins- i have some baby platys and mollies and they are so small its impossible to tell- be patient!

Male platies grow their gonopodium around the age of 3 months, so by then they should be sexable. This is probably the earliest age to give them away. Depending on colouring, you may be able to recognise females earlier than this from their gravid spot, but this can be difficult with some colours.

Oh, and you may find that you get more responses if you write out your questions in full rather than texting, as a lot of us find texting more difficult to read.

I think all or most livebearer fry begin life looking female, and don't develop a gonopodium until they're several weeks old, though it's true that some are "late bloomers." I think most stores will take fry at 2-3 months old, depending on their size. It'll really depend on who you're giving them to.

P.S. This is just a suggestion, but you might get more replies if you didn't use so much netspeak. That's meant in the kindest way, of course...but your post is kind of hard to read, and I think most people are likely to skip over posts written that way rather than take the extra time to decipher them. :D

Edited to add: Sorry, didn't mean to be an echo...dwarfgourami beat me to it. ;)
