I was looking in a book trying to see if I have males or females or both, and I honestly cannot tell. Can someone help me please? This is the best picture I could get.

You're supposed to be able to tell by the gold line on the top edge of the black triangle. That line on the male is brighter and deeper colored. You would need to have a crystal clear pic to see that, but maybe you could tell by looking and comparing your fish.

I will look at that. Thank you. The book says that the porkchop shape would extend forward slightly in a male, but I do not see any difference
