Can my betta sleep?

my new betta lives in a large bowl with a filter. However, the filter creates a good amount of disturbance in the water. I found my betta this morning curled up behind the filter, I suppose to find a place to sleep away from the commotion. Is this ok, what should I do?

well hes hiding becouse of the strong filtration. there shouldnt be any movement within a bettas home. so hes trying to get away from it.

try getting a smaller filter, like the red sea nano filter. Your lfs should have one. Then adjust the flow all the way down.

A smaller filter like the Azoo Palm filter, or a corner/sponge filter would work fine.
