Can I move my female Betta in with one of my males or do they not live together very well?

No,don't do that unless you are planned to breed them and even that is a very brief time,the male will pick the female to pieces.

Yes, only during breeding should a male ever be with another Betta.

The only time I've heard of this working was in a large, heavily planted tank with 1 male, 6 females and numerous small target fish. There are plenty of other good fish combinations out there that are more peaceful. I'd suggest another route.
