Does anyone know if I can put my "lucky" bamboo plant in my fish tank?!?!? :/

I've had bamboo in tanks before and it grew fine but make sure its not the bamboo with the wax on it. Here's a picture of bamboo in one of my older tanks:

How will I know if it has got wax on it?

I have single bamboo stems and a dish with about 12 stems held together. :S

For bamboo to grow and look healthy, it actually needs very little water. There is some type of bamboo you can use, but I think it's actually dried out, and even if you do use the normal one in the aquarium, it will die way before it is suppose to. Even as houseplants bamboo needs to have only a couple of inches of water in it's vase/pot.
