I'm trying to set up a CO2 system for my 26-gallon aquarium and so far I've bought a Milwaukee regulator, tubing, and a 10-gallon tank which I've filled with CO2.

My local fish store doesn't have much experience with injecting CO2, and when I asked for a CO2 diffuser they sold me a Lee's limewood air diffuser. Can I use this on the end of the tubing or do I need a special-purpose diffuser? I read about injecting into the filter intake but I don't know how that works as the filter intake is a solid plastic tube with very small intake holes.

Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

to diffuse Co2 you want the bubbles to be as small as possible.
Generally air stones leave the bubbles to large, I`d suggest you search ebay and find a diffusor there,

if you have an internal filter i wouldn`t use that fo diffuse your co2 as it tends to break them if you get an external however, What i did was drill a hole in the side of the inlet tube at the bottom and poked my air line tubing into it. the co2 was then sucked up into the filter through the media then through the impeller and back again....
but for what its worth just get a propper ceramic co2 diffuser off ebay. i can recomend an ebay shop called aquaticmagic

I ordered one from aquaticmagic a week and a half ago and haven't got it yet... Crossing my fingers it will be here tomorrow!
