can i get some advice/suggestions? :hey:

i have tank 4ftx1.5ftx1.5ft, 240l

have internal filter with phosphate remover in it and filter pumps 1000l per hour

i put in a powerhead that does 1600 l per hour

were should powerhead be situated for best results, and is this enough with the filter powerhead for enough water flow

or can i add a wavemaker?

thanks :good:

I'd prefer to go with the wavemaker if it were me,much more natural feel to the tank when you see your corals swaying to and fro in the currents.

What kind of powerhead? BigC is right, wavemakers are really cool things to have. Very natural and healthy for corals. Unfortunately they are complex and expensive pieces of technology. Many on the market are pieces of junk, especially those which are more affordable. By far the best out there are the Tunze offerings including their wave controller (which works with their powerheads), and their wavebox. Both of these are top-notch pieces of equipment, but you'll need some serious cash to be able to afford it...

kind of powerhead bought was AquaClear 4000 Powerhead Aquarium Pump 1600 LPH

i would like to add a wavemaker, dont want to create a whirlpool effect or have too strong water movement in tank, or not have enough movement in water due to powerheads being placed in wrong areas of tank and creating deadspots
