Can I Submerge My Heater??

This is hard to figure out. Both submersible and non-submersible heaters will have a water line marking; in the case of submersibles that is the minimum depth and the maximum for non-submersibles. If you've read everything on your heater and it doesn't help, then I'd play it safe and keep it's top a bit out of the water. I hate having to mess around with non-submersible; submersible is well worth the cost.

You will have to see what type of heater you have. I just bought a new one yesterday, and the guy at the Lfs told me its totally submersible.... and I was like... "what?".... but then I realized what he was talking about.... it was a bit more expensive, but I would rather pay a bit more for a better, more reliable heater.
