Can I Interest You In...a Bucket Of Frogs?

Was doing a water change, and decided to put all the frogs in a spare bucket to take a shot of all of them at once - - I numbered them so they can all be identified

1. Phoenix
2. Amelia
3. Kirby
4. Lola
5. 5 month old Baby from Phantom X Kirby mating
6. Boris
7. 5 month old Baby from Phantom X Kirby mating
8. Phantom
9. Andre
10. Jade
11. Igor
12. Louie
13. Magellan
14. Aurora

thanks I really like how most of the frogs came out really clear in this photo - - took quite a few!

is boris younger than the others or is he just tiny

Boris is actually a young x.borealis male... a slightly smaller sub species of ACF.

"common" ACF are x.laevis but the term ACF gets applied to all species as a general category

ahh cool pretty cool that he is smaller is he max size now or still got some growing to do

oh he has some growing left to do - - he will probably top out around or a little smaller than Igor and Magellan are right now (both are x.laevis and neither are full grown)




and just for other clarification

#2 is an x.tropicalis full grown female
#6 is a young x.borealis male
#14 is an x.borealis nearly full grown female


all others are x.laevis frogs in a variety of color morphs and they range from full grown to young adults

They are SOOOOOOOOOOO cute. How did you stop them from jumping out of the bucket while having their photo taken?

kept the water low, hovered over them, and tried to take the photos really fast
