Im aure you guys are sick of these threads by now, but I wanted to double check using your years of wisdom :)

I currently have a Rio 180 (suprisingly 180 litres, 101x43x51cm), that has been fully cycled (fishless) a bit over a month now. Current stocking is:

6 Bronze Cory
4 Platy
2 Bristlenose Plec (about and a bit over an inch each)
2 Pearl Gourami (male and female pair, both about 2 inches)

The tank has 2 large bits of bogwood, sand substrate and has a decent amount of plants. At the moment the tank can look a little empty as fish sometimes hang around in the plants and they are all fairly small at the moment. Going by the inch per gallon rule (I know its just a guide, not a rule) I probably have some space left but I know the BN and Pearls will get a fair bit bigger as they age and the BNs produce alot of waste.

Can I add something else (school of 6-8 fish in the 1-2 inch range, or possible 1-2 medium fish 4'ish inch) without overloading the tank too much or should I just let it be? If I do add any additional fish I would probably wait a few weeks anyway to let my Pearls settle in, as they are the newest fish and are still a bit nervous ;)

Any advice you guys can give would be most appreciated :)

i think you could add a fair amount to that yet...
a school of fish would be nice, id go for 8-10 of maybe a type of tetra? depends what you like
and id say 1 or 2 other fish, not big however.l

i would say (not as an educated guess though) that you add another female pearl gourami. The female, if the only one, can get hassled too much. I apologise if someone corrects me that pearl gouramis arent like this

If your 2 Pearls are happy, dont introduce another, its not worth upsetting them tbh. In that tank you have loads of spare room for some nice shoaling fish. Rainbows for mid level swimmers and Panchax for the top of the tank (although Panchax dont go well with small fish so beware) for example.
