hi, new to this so please bare with...... i have a 90L tank containing 1 x polkadot loach, 4 x blue rams, 3 x platies, 1 x dwarf gourami and 2 x buemos aries tetra. am i ok to add a couple of corys? i know a small shoal is ideal but i dont think i have enough room for that many...... so 2 or maybe 3 at a push.
cheers, Matt.

You should be able to get away with 4 corys. The only true bottom dweller is the loach.

Do you have good filtration? Also, what kind of substrate do you have?

filtration is standard pump built into hood (aquaone ar620) but i am looking at getting an ehein external as well so should have plenty of filtration going on..... the substrate is gravel but its not perfectly smooth but not sharp, if you know what i mean! the loach is fine with it.

am i better to get 3 all the same corys or would i get away with mixing 2 or 3 varieties? will they swim together still? just thought a bit of variation would be nice but not essential, just want them to be happy...

got 4 corys today 1 x bandit, 1 x sterbas ,2 x orange laser, they are all fine together and swimming up and down the tank like 4 nutters..... how cool are these fish! even the polkadot loach i have has joined in sometimes :good: i might have to go back and buy 2 more and loose my tetras, i love em

Corys are great, always handy to have bottom dwellers and they can eat any algae too :D
