hello everyone, hope your all being good.
Right then i want a nice big group of corys, but i dont know if they can go in with the fish i have.
Tank is 4foot and there are 2 convicts 2 salvini(yellow belly) cichlids and a common plec who is around 7", and 1 cichlid that i have forgotten the name of at the mo  but he has shiny blue eyes and his name starts with an 's'. If i was to get a good size group would they be ok. Im not really a fan of the big ones.
thanks for your help in advance

Hi gems2209.

Sorry, but from what I've read corys and cichlids don't mix. The corys have no sense of territory which conflicts with the cichlid way of life. They'd just get themselves into trouble.

Cheers.

Have your convicts bred yet?

It would make for an expensive snack. Convicts are notorious for their territorial aggression when they are raising families. Generally they do not tolerate any intrusions.

Convicts will stress out Corys way too much and will most likely kill them, eventually. Corys will do fine with Dwarf Cichlids such as Apistos and Rams.

thank you all very much, looks like i will be leaving it then, the convicts are my babies  don't want to upset them lol. No, my convicts haven't bred yet, but that's ok i still haven't figured out what i will do with all the babies when they do. Thank you all again :good:
