can i feed my bettas to much?

I feed them twice a day and i was reading posts and people say they give theres 4 pellets a day and stuff. OMG i have been giving mine like 8 pellits each time i feed them. I see that they keep eating so i just keep giving. Am i doing something wrong??

Personally, I think thats too much, I only feed 5 pellets every other day. If I feed more then that then their stomachs seem to get really bloated (big). But if you've had no problems, then I wouldn't change anything.

i just got them like 1 week i dont want a problem to start ok they're on a little diet! 5 per serving. Thats double than megs doing but there probably starving from being in wm for so long.

it won't HURT them per say, but eventually it can lead to a fat, bloated betta. Also try fasting and varying diets.

Number of pellets to feed depends on the size of the pellet. I use Hikari Betta Bio-Gold primarily, and feed 5 pellets per fish. However, some of my fish are too small (like Mini ) to eat Hikari pellets (or just THINK they're too small... Valoel ). For those fish I use Atison's Betta Food, which is the type of pellet that comes in Betta Shakerz and is much smaller than Hikari's pellets, and I feed about 8 or 10 of those to each fish.
