I’m currently treating my sick angelfish with General Cure and am wondering if I could do a water change right before my second dose.

General cure directions:
Dose (1st day)
Leave
Leave
dose
Leave
Leave
25% water change (treatment done)

What I want to do:
Dose (1st day)
Leave
Leave
Water change (50%) then dose
Leave
Leave
25% water change (treatment done)

I would do 25% instead of 50% and just do what you did, and yes you can do a water change

I really don't know as I really don't recall ever using meds in a tank but I wonder why you would choose to use meds and then not want to follow the prescribed dosage instructions. :dunno:

If you do a water change between doses my guess is that you would lessen the med's effect as it would be diluted from what is prescribed.

Look at my other post under emergency: My angelfish is not eating….any advice appreciated. There is an in-depth explaination of his symptoms and people suggested general cure.
