now im wondering if i can mail my chaeto ,corals (which are attatched to 2 large pieces of LR), clowns and CUC to GA to their new 200+ gallon home, can it be done with as little loss of life as possible?

i PM Tolak to change it for me lol

so due to the lack of replies im guessing you guys havent mailed fish lol

what else can i do?

well now im being asked if it would be less stress to the fish to move them into a temporary 5 gallon with the 2 pieces of live rock that the corals are attached to and drive cross country with them or mail them to the new tank :/

Hi Mojo

How far you got to travel?

and just something for you to think about:

What would be the difference to you mailing them or just taking them with you? At least you would know they wouln't get thrown about in the back of a van!!

Personally I would want to take them myself. You could get a small inverter for the car so you could plug in a heater and small powerhead as well.

yeah id like that too but tbh its one or the other still 50/50 so id like to be prepared for whatever e pick

i have one of those inverters but i have to find a way to have more plug for it lol

and it is literally cross country i remember something like 2000+km

You could split the socket, strip socket etc... though read below... you would need a big one.

Best to rent a generator whilst not driving if it really is that far, wouldn't run it inside the car of course because of exhaust (unless you have some kind of pick up that it can sit on and outside.

A small inverter you mean 150-300w? If you wanted to run say a 100w heater, you would really want a 150-200w inverter, they really don't go as high as they say.

And at 300w, a car battery (whilst not running) won't last that long at all, talking hours (constant power of course).
