Story:
I just moved my platies, guppies, and minnows to my 29 gallon that had goldfish in it (I did a 25% water change and cleaned the sides). They are doing great. My friend needed to give away her fish so now I have a convict cichlid that is a little over an inch in length. Last night I had to completely tear down the 10 gallon. I cleaned the gravel, tank, and put in decorations that cichlids are said to prefer. I know that she can't stay in there for a long time because they get 6". I rinsed the filter with water from my 29gallon and conditioned the water.
Also, before I know NOTHING about fish, I bought fish and filled up the tank with water, decorations, and gravel. My friend said I needed conditioner so I bought some. I put the fish in and they are still alive today. So does that mean my water is good..or something? Our water comes from a lake, if that changes anything.
So my question is:
Can I put her in the tank? It's been about 8 1/2 hours.
