Hi Guys

I have a 240l tank, approx 100cm long, 42cm wide and 55cm high. It has been running for just over a month, having been fully cycled. The tank has several live plants and is well aerated.

I currently have:

5 harlies
5 rosy tetras
4 lemon tetras
3 kissing gouramis's
3 scissor fish
1 silver shark (who thinks he is a scissor fish!)
6 long fin bronze corys
7 neon tetras
2 golden danios

How is my stocking, is it too much?
They are are small fish (at the moment) and I know once the silver shark grows he will be looking at the smaller ones as dinner, but that is some time off yet....

If I am not overstocked, any suggestions for other fish to add?

Thanks :good:

Hmmm you could probably squeeze a pair of Rams or similar in :)

silver sharks are shoaling fish so should be kept in groups, as he is the only one he is choosing to shoal with the scissortails, if he had nothing to shoal with he would likely be more skittish and possily even get stressed.

Also the kissing gouramis can get to a foot in length so they will need rehoming one day too

IMO i would remove the shark and the gouramis now which would free up a lot more space, if this was done you could probably add

say 2 more danios
2 more lemon tetras
1 or 2 more scissortails
a species of bottom feeder, maybe a bristlenose plec or say 4 otocinclus
