Can fish talk in any way to eachother or to another tpe of fish.

can a tetra talk to a barb or a pleco talk to a catfish?

I doubt it. From what I learned in science class, you can't hear sound in outer space and you have a hard time hearing it underwater.

I think there's an even lower chance of them talking with different types of fish.

Some fish can sense their environmetns with electricity, so I think they might be able to. Frogs croak to mate...

Ack, sound travels better through water than through air! You can't here in sapce as there is a vacume and there are no particles to vibrate, whales communicate through sound. I thought fish communicated by chemicals?????

I know that sound travels better in water. However, for some reason it is muffled.

For example: In Batman Forever a bomb full of 200 sticks of TNT is thrown into the water and the sound of the explosion is barely audible...

Chemicals... maybe.

Lol I think are ears aren't set up for underwater listening. Next time you go to a pool get someone to set of a watch alarm underwater and listen to it from the other end of the pool you can hear it very clearly. When I'm diving you can certainly here your divecomputer beeping at you if it doesn't like what your doing :D

That's cool. Fortunately I didn't claim to knwo the answer, otherwise I'd look like a fool right now.

No Sorry if I seemed a bit obtrusive. Sometimes I type a bit different to how I feel :fun: I wasn't trying to correct
