I'm new to owning female bettas I only have one so far. I just set up a new tank and was planning on putting either mollies or guppies in it. I was wondering if the female betta would get along with those fish? I know males can't go with guppies but I'm not sure about females.

Yeah, no guppies. Their fins are just too delicate to be kept with bettas. Mollies ought to be ok, though

thats a no to mollys as well, the male mollys can be quite aggressive, especially when theres females and mollys that have long flowing fins will get chewd up too -_- its best to keep them with catfish and other smaal non agressive fish.

Alright, I'll just leave her where she is then which is in a 14 gallon. She lives with 3 other male bettas ...separated of course. :)

Thanks for your help!

I kept 3 female bettas in a 27 gal hex with half a dozen Mollies (Lyretails) & (Bubble bellys) for several months before turning the community tanks over to my wife. I took the bettas to the fishroom after that. It all depends on the individual fish and the size of the tank. Guppys would not be very compatible for reasons stated in other posts.
