i have the red sea co2 machine.

if i attached piping to it and a air stone would it work?

reactor? erm?

its got a thing that i put in water and co2 comes out of it constantly. its not like those ones that release bubbles every now n then.

Right, its often called a reactor when in reality its nothing more than a powerhead.... You wouldnt need an airstone on the end of it if you have it going into the reactor

Airstones, and air pumps have one purpose in life.... to create water movement - they do NOT put oxygen into the water.
they are intended to create surface movement and promote gas exchange... something best avoided with CO2, its so easy to loose your CO2 at the surface, you are aiming to get it into the water, and keep it there ! :good:

If the CO2 is constantly bubbling out, it is almost certainly having very little effect. You need to keep the CO2 in contact with the water for as long as possible to allow it to dissolve. There are all manner of commercial and DIY gadgets to facilitate this. A simple upturned cup is a start.
