Can betta eat tropical flakes?

Hello I am going to get a betta very soon hopefully my tank is cycled and everything ready apart from the food unless they eat tropical flakes so I am wondering if I have to buy special betta food or not? Any help would be appreciated thank

@Fishguy13 i've started cycling a new tank also for a betta and shall give my Bug bites and get some pellets also

They can, though some struggle with catching them. Balance both with pellets too.

My betta Mimic did this too when she was still with us. It was somewhat comical lol
