Hello all. Can you anyone suggest basic online language learning tools, ideally free or cheap? I need to improve or create an ability to speak (probably about fish) in a couple of languages - as well as just know what the heck is going on around me when I travel. I'm looking at survival basic Portuguese and German, and maybe more developed Spanish after that.

Duo Lingo

I've not used it myself but I seem to hear a lot about Babbel. It's online and in app form but I don't know what the fee is like. Seems popular anyway. The only Portuguese I know is 'obrigada'
