Looks like a Gibbicep Plec to me.

maybe 3-4 inches.
I'm just concerned he's one of the plecs thats going to want to grow to 20 inches and such. I wish I'd known about this site when I went pleco shopping

does look like a gibbi or common plec and i'm afraid if he is then he's gonna get big.. really big these can reach over a foot in length

yeh we were looking at gibbiceps plecs in the lps the other day - very pretty leopardskin markings!
But yes - he will get big.
