Can Anyone Help Me Identify

Hi Guys,

Me and my bro have seen some cichlids in the lfs in a mixed tank and were wondering if you couold help us to identify them.

1. & 2. Look like sub-adult Metriaclima greshakei

3. Pseudotropheus acei, with what appears to be Iodotropheus sprengerae on the left.

4. juvie Metriaclima lombardoi

I highly recommend not purchasing mbuna from a Mixed Tank, a high number of them are usually hybrids and without knowing their parentage you risk ending up with an extremely aggressive fish.

I agree with Dawn about pics 1 and 2.
I have some, although I call mine Metriaclima maylandia.

Those ever changing cichlid names!

In pictures 1 & 2 I think those are Cynotilapia afra ´´Likoma`` also known as sp. ´´yellow Dorsal``

3 is obviusly a psedotropheus acei

I think you're right, good call, shows what happens when you attempt to ID fish half asleep.

Regardless, they don't look very happy to me.
