Hey
I have a 125 ltr tank and have seen a cheap skimmer which is a AQUAMEDIC TURBOFLOTOR BLUE 3000 PROTEIN SKIMMER REEF

http://www.aqua-medic.de/seawater/en...t%20OR%202500/

will this be ok in a tank of that size?

it wont affect it in any way will it?

Thanks

Luke

In general no but i think that skimmer is abit overkill (They can strip good stuff from the tank)

Have a look at the deltec mce300

there becomes a point where its just a waste of electric and you cant get enough flow through the skimmer for it to be effective.

il 2nd the MCE300 reccomendation

Its basicaly only because i can get one reli cheap!!

Could I leave it on in the day and turn it off at night? would that work?

Thanks

better to run 24/7. if something dies hey usually do it at night, so the skimmers important then.
they take a little while to bed in each time they are swicthed on
