Can a girl betta make a bubble nest?

Can a female betta make a bubble nest? my "female", Spot, flares at other bettas and has just recently made a little bubble nest and has been working on it for about two days. I swear shes so girly but i'm beginning to think shes a little boyish in behaviour!! aider moi!!! ~dEx
