and can i use lego to make a tunnel for them to breed in.... never heard of this but it may work lol... coconut shells and hand made rock/slate caves will work as long as its a cave shape not a tunnel...
any other relevant advise please

hi m8

how many bristlenose have u got is it just a pair or more

a 2ft tank is fine for them trio or a pair 1x male and 2x female is great

for them to breed u need a cave of some short

some bogwood when they breed u can leave the fry with the bns they will be fine if the male kicks them out then put them in a breeding trap with a air stone that wld be fine aswell as i do this sometimes

any thing really for a cave u cld used slate caves cheap to buy

or u cld use two bottom clay pots seal them to gether with a little whole like this

couple pics wot i have used and still using
bottom clay pots one half

all good fish shop's stock this, also ebay's a good place to look.....

breeding bristlenose plec's is so easy, just leave them to get on with it, don't keep poking around looking for egg's my batche's i had all lived well togther, waterchanges i did every other day around 30-40%......
I had a sponge filter to minimise causaltie's to filter's....

yes they would, mine would breed in small terracotta pot's and slate covering the top!!
My sister's would breed in a plastic wooden creation brought at lfs hollow in side tappering down to a long point where he would care for his fry,,,

Mine breed in the hollow part of a piece of rooty bogwood about 2" from the surface of the tank. Those barnicle ornaments you can buy are apparently good too.
