Has anyone tried to make one? If so been successful and would share the success of this?

If a canistor that would normally be used a biological filter, be changed to be a calcium reactor, if the PH, Co2 was properly regulated?

If were to use a spare canistor that i have middle partition aragonite and surrounding that is sponge, i cud then slow down the intake with a valve, and the outtake would slow down to that affect, but that would then no doubt be more work for the canistor? or if i used an external pump to pump the water in instead would that be better? but i`m finding it hard to where id actually place the outlet for the calcium to drip out, as i don`t think ya would use the normal outlet on the canistor or would u?

Can a R/O machine be used as a calcium reactor as ya have the small inlet/outlets ( but having 2 outlets i don`t know if it would work )

thx for any advice..
