I've had a breeding colony of Cajun Dwarf Crays for quite some time now. They didn't seem to bother anything - even tiny Cherry shrimplets. But sadly, this weekend I found something they'd munch on.
Ordered a shipment from Azgardens which included some shrimp (green, red-nosed, and pearl), as well as some fish (some more Boraras Maculatus, a pygmy Cory species, and three pygmy Gouramis).
Except for the death of a single green shrimp, all the shrimp are doing great. None of the Boraras made it through the first night. But I noticed as soon as I dumped the fish in the formerly peaceful Crays had an unhealthy interest in the pygmy Gouramis and the pygmy Cories.
All the Cories who were introduced into the tank survived except one (who was laying on his side shortly after introduction), though the Crays keep on snapping at them.
All three of the pygmy Gouramis are gone =/
I'm going to move a few Crays into my bare-bottom tank, but I don't think I want them in the planted tank anymore =/
