i recently exchanged mt CAE because i hav been informed they will attack larger fish and dig up plants etc. they didn't see, that bad to me however their were two suspicisous wounds on my angels and i lost them both.

so are they really this bad? :dunno:

CAE's get quite big. As they get bigger, they become bad tempered and territorial. They stop eating algae and will attach themselves to the sides of other fish, particulaly big round fish like angels and gouramies.

I haven't seen the injuries you mention, but it is possible. There were some picture of a gourami with CAE "bites" on the forums a while back.

My CAE is the bad boy in my tank :D. He chases of my malawi. Best fish in my tank.
