Chinese algae eater, excellent condition. Approx 4", ive had him from a baby. I had a very placid CAE when i was given the old 4ft tank, but she died. I replaced her with this little guy, but he has an entirely different nature - think teenager
Hes great fun to watch, very friendly with all the other fish. Just that i downsized, hes upsizing, and i need to find a new home for him :)

Im in Bedford.

Jus to let you know, they have a very definite tendancy to become aggressive as they age, they also end up as large, muscular fish (and have been attrivuted to 'slime suck' other fish).

If anyone is thinking of purchasing this, its definately not a community fish...

People on here know what a CAE is mate, I wouldnt go 'selling' it (im not!) to just anyone, Im not irresponsible. I had a large CAE when i first got my larger tank, and she was quite shy, never ever aggresive! Each fish is different.
This guy would be fine growing up in a large tank with large tankmates!

Never assume anyone knows anything, there is much mis-information bandied about concerning CAE's, and tales of the odd 'peaceful' one are very misleading...

There's no guarantee he would be fine in with large tankmates, as behaviour often changes upon transfer to a new environment.

Personally I would take him back to the store you bought him from (if possible), but otherwise, by all means give him away (which is a great thing to do), just with a fish like this, maybe provide a bit more info, or reccomend a species tank?

Cheers.
