i would personaly say anything will work as long as you seal it with silicone or similar, my coke bottle reactor has a car window sprayer junction on it for the pipe to attach on and this is then sealed with a hot glue gun and silicone
as long as everythings a tight fit and is sealed youll be fine, hell save yourself some money on a expencive bit of metal and use a connector for airlines, itll work just as well!

you'll find that if you use a straight plastic airline connector and force it through the hole. there will be no 'pinching' of the hose which is a plus.

Then if you can find an M6 sized nut you can screw that onto the inside of the lid and silicon the outside. jobs a good 'un
