Hi guys

I have had a 100 litre planted aqaurium for a while without the use of c02 and have had pretty good results growing plants.
I decided i wanted to try growing Hemianthus callitrichoides (HC), I read that i would need to use c02 so i bought a cheap Co2 Diffuser Set by Waterplant, like this..
I have set it up as per the pretty vague instructions on the box, but im not totally sure if the set up is correct, everything is connected and i have injected the C02 into the diffuser which throughout the day has gradually reduced, Ive been reading about other peoples set up and have noticed people have been mentioning bubbles per second/minute, but i am not seeing any bubbles being released at all, what im wondering is should I be seeing bubbles or is the c02 just gradually released into the water without seeing bubbles, If anyone has experience of using this system or any general advice would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks
Will

i have a similar set up from water plant and it took a while for the pressure to build up to produce bubbles. also the diffuser makes a fine mist which youll be able to see it once it starts working

iv got that set up it doesn't produce bubbles. its not bad becasue 100% of co2 is defused into the water. but its slower than some diffusers becasue it has a low surface area.

iv switched to a yeast set up with a glass diffuser

When people talk about bubbles per second they are talking about bubbles in the actual bubble counter, this is a devise for keeping a check on the amount of co2 being injected. This devise is placed in the co2 line prior to the defuser.

but with your system you dont need one. becasue you dont have a constant flow of co2 entering the tank.

Thanks guys for your replies,
just out of interest where is the best place to put the diffuser in the tank? at the moment i have it on the side of the tank quite near the the front of the tank.

i put mine next to the filter. because it beings water with low co2 in it to the diffuser where it gets a boost
